12 Basic Stock Investing Rules.... Must for Successful Investors

There are many important things you need to know to trade and invest successfully in the stock market or any other market. 12 of the most important things that I can share with you based on many years of trading experience are enumerated below.
  • Buy low-sell high.
As simple as this concept appears to be, the vast majority of investors do the exact opposite. Your ability to consistently buy low and sell high, will determine the success, or failure, of your investments. Your rate of return is determined 100% by when you enter the stock market.
  • The stock market is always right and price is the only reality in trading.
If you want to make money in any market, you need to mirror what the market is doing. If the market is going down and you are long, the market is right and you are wrong. If the stock market is going up and you are short, the market is right and you are wrong.Other things being equal, the longer you stay right with the stock market, the more money you will make. The longer you stay wrong with the stock market, the more money you will lose.
  • Up Vs Down
Every market or stock that goes up will go down and most markets or stocks that have gone down, will go up. The more extreme the move up or down, the more extreme the movement in the opposite direction once the trend changes. This is also known as "the trend always changes rule."
  • If you are looking for "reasons" that stocks or markets make large directional moves, you will probably never know for certain.
Since we are dealing with perception of markets-not necessarily reality, you are wasting your time looking for the many reasons markets move.A huge mistake most investors make is assuming that stock markets are rational or that they are capable of ascertaining why markets do anything. To make a profit trading, it is only necessary to know that markets are moving - not why they are moving. Stock market winners only care about direction and duration, while market losers are obsessed with the whys.
  • Stock markets generally move in advance of news or supportive fundamentals
Sometimes months in advance. If you wait to invest until it is totally clear to you why a stock or a market is moving, you have to assume that others have done the same thing and you may be too late. You need to get positioned before the largest directional trend move takes place. The market reaction to good or bad news in a bull market will be positive more often than not. The market reaction to good or bad news in a bear market will be negative more often than not.
  • The trend is your friend.
Since the trend is the basis of all profit, we need long term trends to make sizeable money. The key is to know when to get aboard a trend and stick with it for a long period of time to maximize profits. Contrary to the short term perspective of most investors today, all the big money is made by catching large market moves - not by day trading or short term stock investing.
  • You must let your profits run and cut your losses quickly
if you are to have any chance of being successful. Trading discipline is not a sufficient condition to make money in the markets, but it is a necessary condition. If you do not practice highly disciplined trading, you will not make money over the long term. This is a stock trading “system” in itself.
  • The Efficient Market Hypothesis is fallacious and is actually a derivative of the perfect competition model of capitalism.
The Efficient Market Hypothesis at root shares many of the same false premises as the perfect competition paradigm as described by a well known economist. The perfect competition model is not based on anything that exists on this earth. Consistently profitable professional traders simply have better information - and they act on it. Most non-professionals trade strictly on emotion, and lose much more money than they earn. The combination of superior information for some investors and the usual panic as losses mount caused by buying high and selling low for others, creates inefficient markets.
  • Traditional technical and fundamental analysis alone may not enable you to consistently make money in the markets.
Successful market timing is possible but not with the tools of analysis that most people employ. If you eliminate optimization, data mining, subjectivism, and other such statistical tricks and data manipulation, most trading ideas are losers.
  • Never trust the advice and/or ideas
Never trust the advice and/or ideas of trading software vendors, stock trading system sellers, market commentators, financial analysts, brokers, newsletter publishers, trading authors, etc., unless they trade their own money and have traded successfully for years. Note those that have traded successfully over very long periods of time are very few in number. Keep in mind that Wall Street and other financial firms make money by selling you something - not instilling wisdom in you. You should make your own trading decisions based on a rational analysis of all the facts.
  • The worst thing an investor can do is take a large loss on their position or portfolio.
Market timing can help avert this much too common experience. You can avoid making that huge mistake by avoiding buying things when they are high. It should be obvious that you should only buy when stocks are low and only sell when stocks are high. Since your starting point is critical in determining your total return, if you buy low, your long term investment results are irrefutably better than someone that bought high.
  • The most successful investing methods should take most individuals no more than four or five hours per week and, for the majority of us, only one or two hours per week with little to no stress involved.

The Father

A lots of articles wrote by known philosophers and writers on Mother. You can have enormous poems on the praising of the mother but there are hardly few articles on the ‘Father’…. why we don’t know?

Father is almost different chemistry. He is not like mother whom we love from our childhood. But yes, the importance of the father is indispensable in the child’s life. When we get hurt, it reminds us of the mother because she caress, kind and love however when we are afraid we always think of the Father because we know he will stand by us and run the evil away… mother may be having loads of love but father is other name of patience. You still remember the taste of the food which mother cooks but forget the father ensures the adequate grocery available at the house. We like Mother the most because she is very kind-hearted, soft whereas father is always tough and stubborn… but reality father is more soft than the mother. You find father tough because he has faced the world around more than the mother did. And he is in better position to judge what can be better for his kid and how kid can be made tough to face the challenges outside.

We remember the love bestowed upon Lord Krishna by his mother Devki and Yashoda but forget his father Vasudeo who has ensured that Lord Krishna should be moved away from the prison and should be in safe hands. We can not think how much difficulties and miles he has trodden in the dark midnight to ensure the Lord is moved to Gokul where he will safe and well taken care of. We know the distress of Queen Koushalya when Lord Rama sent for 14 years to jungle but forget that he was King Dashrath who died for Ram, his father.

In child’s life, the Father appears in different phases. When we are kids, up to 6 years old, he is our Super-Man…. He is always with us, how much tired he is after the office, he do not deny to listen what kido has gone throughout the day, he is kid’s horse, elephant and so on. We never know how much pain father has taken to lift you up on the hands and shoulders and roam to show him the world. How much pain he has gone through to ensure your every demand is fulfilled. He is ready to run behind bicycle to ensure you are able to ride, he is bowler, fielder for the little champ. he ready to walk 10 miles to fulfil your demands for toys you had seen in the friend’s hand. He never complain even if the toy broke on the first day…….. really speaking, you never know he has started living his childhood again…. he started living in the eyes of the child, promising him to offer him everything he has not received or enjoyed. he started living his dreams of his childhood…

Now the things changes with the passing days, the child start growing. He now enters the school

We never know, how much time he has postponed his decision to buy new clothes for himself to ensure all the family members are well dressed in the festival, the children should have adequate pocket-money so that they need not to beg in front of anyone. When his girl grown up he is happy to see his children well groomed and wearing fashioned clothes. He will arrange for the make-up kit for his girl, may be at the cost of his shaving foam, you never know.

As the children grow, they have their own world, but you know for the father, children are the world. Never a moment goes when he is not thinking for the children’s career, investments, his well being. When child education is over, his thought run behind to ensure his child is working in well-known company and drawing a handsome salary, he is not interested in getting anything out of it. A mere presence of the child matters.

If the child is girl, the hundred of nights goes for her thinking she should get the right husband. The worries do not end with getting right bride-groom but multiplies as his child goes to her husband’s house. A smiling face of the married girl gives a lot of pleasure to the father…… for that you need to be the father of girl.

When you grow older, you touch the skies with your education, skills, knowledge. He proudly says to his friends and relatives”My Child”… He is always with you in the success and failure, he is happier if you are touching the skies of success…..He do not hesitate to support you on your failure. A supporting words and warm hands in those moments really matters. He knows your weak points and helps you to recover from them.

Now you are independent, not needing any help from this old fellow but he do not hesitate to offer any help you needed. In fact he is closely watching you to be sure that his kid is not getting trapped in this world of greed. He was not expecting anything from you apart from your some time discussing about the plans, he want to part of your life and spent some time enjoying your dreams…. alas we don’t have that time to share for this old man… we find him burden to the freedom etc whatever you name it.

Now there is turn in the story, we become the Father…… The first time we touches our new-born kid and hug it both hands and smell the smell of hairs…. A new father borned….. give birth to new ambitions, that are not for the our self but for the Child you hold in the hands….

here you have stepped in the shoes of FATHER………………

Confused....

The moment of disappointments or Shocks…. Are they different? How much life we have lived in hours, days, months or year do not matter than how we actually lived . The time calculation by means of light and darkness is just for the calendar, not for the life. In actual the life is full of uncertainty…. You never know what lies in the next second of life which we have lived now. Though time is not seperable, nobody can predict, what will be next?… the lack of knowledge of the future… Future is uncertain

Moment of disappointment is ray of light, it enlightens that we are walking the path of Uncertaininty. Holding this ray of light is amongest the great art of life. But nobody knows of this art, that’s the reason we get alert only for the moment and continue the path of darkness.

We always search for the company in our life. Not only we but everybody, because journey of life is not simple. Till the time, company we shared, able to show tenderness towards us we hold it likewise others do. It is sharing and caring fundas of life. I am for you and you are for me…. Life and living. We do not count how many person we had come across in our life and shared our joys and sorrows with them, only few can make it to the final count

When we lost touch, the memories lost….. Out of sight is out of mind….

Living a lif e is journey and in the living we cross many people. Sharing common interests, joys and sorrow, builds relationship ….. and the moments of disappointments comes with the relationship. These moments should have been the light-house of the life but that do not happen. We meet new people, devlop relationship…..relations brings new person in life, we go on ……. time breaks the old relationships as we moves in life and we came across the same moments of disappointment…. this is vicious cycle…. never ending. We do not learn from the past…. as our memory is short…. these moments are repetative, only thing is that they have different faces.

When the patience ends….. some walk oin the path of knowledge or some may ends in the Bar….

All are confused… like Me… Always

Shall I do this or that? This is right or wrong? Simple Questions but our reach do not decides destiny….. Its already decided…

The Sky and the Humans

We see the Blue Sky above …. Do sky has limit or boundry? Have anybody counted the boundry of the sky? the answer is obviously NO..

If we raise our head up, we can see the sky. If we fly 35,000 KMs above the grounds still we see the sky above….. on the same height, even the astronomers exploring the universe still find the sky beyond reach. The sky, also known as the celestial dome or celestial sphere, where the sun, stars, planets, and the moon are seen to be traveling.

Sky appears to be blue because air scatters blue sunlight more than it scatters red.At night, the sky appears to be a mostly dark surface or region scattered with stars. The sky can turn a multitude of colors such as red, orange, purple and yellow when the light passes through a much longer path through the atmosphere. Scattering effects due to horizon partially polarize light from the sky, this scattered light travels through atmosphere as having impact from light from the zenith, causing it to lose blue components, vivid at the zenith, and pale near the horizon.Red light from Sun also scatters if there is enough air in between the source and the observer, these longer wavelengths of light will also scatter significantly, making parts of the sky change color during a sunrise and sunset. As the amount of atmosphere nears infinity, the scattered light appears more and more white

The intensity of the sky varies greatly over the day and in twilight, the period of time between sunset and sunrise the primary cause differs as well. During the day, When the sun is well above the horizon, direct scattering of sunlight (Rayleigh scattering) is the overwhelmingly dominant source of light. However, in twilight, the situation is more complicated.

Sky should have been of no colour as its takes the colour of the light. Same applies to Humans.. A person can takes the color of the perception of another individual. It may be innocent, moody, jealous, greedy, talented, dumb and so on. Its more depend upon the how you perceive the individual and accordingly you start choosing the colour to the individual Red (Angry, short tempered), Blue (Talented, honest) Green ( Calm and composed) and so on.

The Perception is not the passive receipt of signals, but can be shaped by learning, memory, and expectation. Perception depends on complex functions of the nervous system, but subjectively seems mostly effortless because this processing happens outside conscious awareness. There are 3 factors that can influence his or her perceptions: experience, motivational state and finally emotional state. In different motivational or emotional states, the perceiver will react to or perceive something in different ways. Also in different situations he or she might employ a “perceptual defence” where they tend to “see what they want to see”.

Social perception is that part of perception that allows people to understand the other people in their social world, as a social cognition which is the ability of the brain to store and process information. People instantly form impressions from facial appearance and these impressions affect important decisions. Social perception allows individuals to make judgments and impressions about other people. It is primarily based on observation, although pre-existing knowledge influences how we perceive an observation. It is combined with the cognitive ability to pay attention to and interpret a range of different social factors that may include: verbal messages, tone, non-verbal behavior, and knowledge of social relationships and an understanding of social goals.

Erik Erikson created the Eight Developmental Stages for perception:

  • Trust vs. Mistrust: Feeding Children develop a sense of trust when caregivers provide reliability, care, and affection. A lack of this will lead to mistrust. (birth-2 yrs)
  • Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt: Toilet Training Children need to develop a sense of personal control over physical skills and a sense of independence. Success leads to feelings of autonomy, failure results in feelings of shame and doubt. (2 yrs-4 yrs)
  • Initiative vs. Guilt Exploration: Children need to begin asserting control and power over the environment. Success in this stage leads to a sense of purpose. Children who try to exert too much power experience disapproval, resulting in a sense of guilt. (4 yrs- 5 yrs)
  • Industry vs. Inferiority School: Children need to cope with new social and academic demands. Success leads to a sense of competence, while failure results in feelings of inferiority. Adolescence (5 yrs – 12 yrs)
  • Identity vs. Role Confusion Social Relationships: Teens need to develop a sense of self and personal identity. Success leads to an ability to stay true to yourself, while failure leads to role confusion and a weak sense of self. Young Adulthood (13 yrs- 19 yrs)
  • Intimacy vs. Isolation Relationships: Young adults need to form intimate, loving relationships with other people. Success leads to strong relationships, while failure results in loneliness and isolation. Middle Adulthood (20 yrs- 40 yrs)
  • Generativity vs. Stagnation Work and Parenthood: Adults need to create or nurture things that will outlast them, often by having children or creating a positive change that benefits other people. Success leads to feelings of usefulness and accomplishment, while failure results in shallow involvement in the world. (40 yrs – 60 yrs)
  • Ego Integrity vs. Despair Reflection on Life: Older adults need to look back on life and feel a sense of fulfillment. Success at this stage leads to feelings of wisdom, while failure results in regret, bitterness, and despair. (60 yrs — death).

8.23 ..... Churchgate

Have you ever been to Churchgate station or CST Station during the rush hours of Morning, there will be an exceptional individual that won’t be chasing the race against time. This city run on the seconds and every second is counted. My Boss once travelled to Mumbai for some business meet and happened to learn about 6.23, 6.27, and 6.44 some sort of weirdo’s numbers from his colleagues, as an enthusiastic person enquired what is this about. It’s really surprise for Mumbai’karrs if you are not acquainted with time-table of Mumbai’s blood veins… Our Westerns, Central & harbor trains…. Everyone travels or travelled this in his once in life. Some enjoys, some cribs.

I really enjoy travelling by Mumbai locals, standing on footboards, facing the wind, roaring opposite trains, Mahim creeks its dirty smell, jumping down once its halts and rejoin the crew when local starts. Fighting dummy quarrels for gaining the opportunities to stand on footboard, cricket discussion like ‘Amacha Tendlya, Sharemarket, politics, corruptions etc. poking the noses in discussion though you are not knowing the person/group, reading the newspaper or requesting the newspaper, bhajans, seats chasing, grouping….. The list never ends.

The journey in Mumbai locals started from very early childhood where gaining window seat or a window was challenge. Mumbai was different at that time. In earlier time, windows never were grilled type. They were wide like express trains, you can peep your small head outside to chase the speed. Few destructive mentality people had detained the opportunity for new kids. Grilled window is no more fun now.

Challenges changes as the time passes. Window was long forgotten in College days, attempt was to chase for standing place or hanging on the local doors…. Despite the spends on First class ticket, no rush was for cushioned seats but for the door handle…   … 5 years of college days passed for chasing the doors of varied class in local trains, first class, second class as well the luggage compartment….. Dream journeys with friends…

Then came the 8.23 Local to Churchgate, attempt was not to lose at cost as if like do or die scene. There were few instances the train was missed. It was triumph or you can say an achievement, proud feeling which last till you reach the destination. Fighting for entry, then getting inside, occupying the inch-n-inch of foot space of local train board, standing on the other foot, cursing, pushing fellow passenger, trying to get passage, shouting, abusing in local language was fun…. Nobody takes it seriously as well…… apart from this safe guarding your valet, golden chain, watch and mobile….. and getting down to your destination without fail…. A WIN

The days long gone….. Now I travel in Car, but miss for the 8.23 local…. It was like girlfriend of that time…. Earlier target was to fix the 8.23 train now at-least get the chance to board the train, carrying laptop, mobile, blackberry, costlier watch…. Quickie movements of body gone long back…. Age takes the toll….. still ….

Local train travel… always a FUN.. Car won’t take the place… it’s like going back to College life… without your friends …

Kareena and Karwa Chouth

While scrolling down the newspaper, gotta see news on Kareena not fasting on Karwa Chouth. News says the top actress not ready to fast for husband ""I don't need to starve to prove my love. I am not going to fast. I am a Kapoor... I can't live without food. I would celebrate it by eating, working, by promoting my film,".

Being the celebrity, the news was plotted with stars. Going through the readers comments on the news which includes married to Muslim, no need to follow Hindu practices, Won't say against following Roza in Ramzan, fatwa if says so, double standards, comparison with Gauri K, good if followed to maintain ZERO figure etc. I am not sure why readers are so curious on her fasting or not fasting. Its her decision. Its her life, let her live on her way... ryte.

Eating or not eating does not mean loyalty, utmost love, implicit faith, total surrender. Fasting on a particular day is just tip of the iceberg of what is filled in inside is just an exhibition to only for husband not for whole world which is nothing wrong as per Hindu rituals, customs and systems. Every ritual is based on certain norms and traditions, values. Unfortunately we follow them but conveniently forget its reasons behind it. Anyways, Kareena is Hindu or Muslim after marrying a Muslim is her problem and whether she has faith in its culture, ethos and system or not is her problem and even otherwise she had no symptoms of following it therefore nothing is lost if she does not follow.

What is Karwa Chouth?

Karwa Chauth (करवा चौथ) is an one-day festival celebrated by Hindu women in North India and the Indian state of Gujarat in which married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands, sometimes, unmarried women observe the fast for their fiancés or desired husbands.

Karwa is another word for 'pot' (a small earthen pot of water) and chauth means 'fourth' in Hindi (a reference to the fact that the festival falls on the fourth day of the dark-fortnight, or krishna paksh, of the month of Kartik). The festival coincides with the wheat-sowing time (i.e., the beginning of the Rabi crop cycle). Big earthen pots in which wheat is stored are sometimes called karwas, so the fast may have begun as a prayer for a good harvest in this predominantly wheat-eating region

No one can exactly confirms the origin of the Festival 'Karwa Chauth', one story is about the God-Friend or God-sister.....Earlier, barely teenagers girls used to get married, go and live with their in-laws in very remote villages. Everyone would be a stranger there for the new bride. In case she had any problems with her husband or in-laws, she would have no one to talk to or seek support from. Her own parents and relatives would be quite far and unreachable. People had to walk almost a whole day to go from one place to other. Once the girl left her parent's home for in-laws, she might not be back before long. Thus the custom started that, at the time of marriage, when bride would reach her in-laws, she would befriend another woman there who would be her friend (kangan-saheli) or sister (dharam-behn) for life. It would be like god-friends or god-sisters. Their friendship would be sanctified through a small Hindu ceremony right during the marriage. The bride's friend would usually be of the same age (or slightly older), married into the same village not directly related to her in-laws. Emotionally and psychologically, it would be very healthy and comforting for the bride to have her own 'relative' near her. They would treat each other like real sisters. During any issues later in life, involving even the husband or in-laws, these women would be able to confidently talk or seek help from each other. Thus Karva Chauth started as a festival to celebrate this special bond of friendship between the brides and their god-friends . The notion of praying and fasting for the husband came much later. It was probably added, along with other mythical tales, to enhance the meaning of the festival. In any case, husbands would always be associated with this festival, because the day of starting this friendship between two god-sisters was essentially the day of bride's marriage to him.

There are numerous tales in Indian mythology endorsing the Karwa Chauth...

One is of Queen Veeravati who began a strict fast after sunrise but, by evening, was desperately waiting for the moonrise as she suffered severe thirst and hunger. Her seven brothers couldn't bear to see their sister in such distress and tricked her by mirrored moon. Mistakenly Queen broke her fast and heard bad news of her beloved King is dead. Heartbroken, she wept through the night until her shakti compelled a Goddess to appear and ask why she cried. The Goddess revealed how she had been tricked by her brothers and instructed her to repeat the Karwa Chauth fast with complete devotion. When Veervati repeated the fast, Yama was forced to restore her husband to life. There are also stories of Draupadi and Pandavas, Satyawan and Savitri which has been linked to this holy festival.

A few days before Karva Chauth, married women would buy new karvas (spherical clay pots) -- 7"-9" in diameter and 2-3 litres capacity -- and paint them on the outside with beautiful designs. Inside they would put bangles and ribbons, home-made candy and sweets, make-up items, and small clothes. The fast begins with dawn. Fasting women do not eat during the day, and some do not drink any water either.  it is customary to give and exchange painted clay pots filled with put bangles, ribbons, home-made candy, cosmetics and small cloth items (e.g., handkerchiefs). Karwa Chauth is celebrated primarily by women and because beauty rituals and dressing-up are a significant part of the day, the festival is seen as an event that bonds women together.

In Modern North Indian society, Karwa Chauth is considered to be a romantic festival, symbolizing the love between a husband and wife. It has been celebrated in Bollywood movies such as 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Baghban' even TV advertisements effectively using the festival to launch the products.

We Middle-class

Including myself we all are Middle-class. the class created after the world war II. We are neither rich nor poor…. standing in the middle who’s daily needs are getting satisfied adequately. All we are either Government Officials, Bank Officers/Clerks…

Currently our country facing a lot of issues like crime, corruption, ever-rising population, caste discrimination SC/ST/OBC/BC/Minorities… so on created by the politicians of the secular country, corrupt ministers, MPs sentenced for murders but still occupying the Post due to delay in justice to under-privileged, Karya-samrat, Black money in Billions deposited in Swiss Bank, A many thousand crores of World Bank loan…… Don’t you think time has come for Lord Vishnu to take next “Avtaar”

Political issues are beyond our reach. These issues reach to us by Newspaper, Media, TV etc however what authenticity these channels has now a days? Today, channels are linked to Political parties or Leaders or Industrialist…. you can say its sold out. Actually it should be “Views Paper” than “News Paper”…… When a scam is un-grounded it becomes headlines. Government appoints a committee of honorable people to investigate and ensures that they keep on investigating till the dust is settled down. Slowly Headline become fourth page Tail piece. Ultimately there need to have space for new scam news….. Ultimately India is developing Country and for development you need to spend….. don’t track where these funds goes..

This SYSTEM, has made our daily life so stressful and complicated that we spend our time on the resolution of our daily chores.

Today lets think, all we middle-class, while reading the news-paper got pissed off on the what is going around with one thought “Lets not think of our job, family and life but sort these issues out first”…. then these this country won’t have single smuggler, corrupt leaders, officials

But this won’t happne….

Today we live life in terms of Percentage….. This percentage stick to us once we join the first grade to learn. “How much percentage?”…. this goes on… even half percentage counts. We must have experienced this during the College admission, for higher studies. I have seen many pupils missing their admission in their interested faculties just because they have not reached the desired percentage even though burning mid-night oil on studies keeping aside the hobbies, interests etc. Parents are running from one college to another because of this short half percentage. We discuss on the increasing inflation and its impact on the daily life, compare the same with our salary which hardly catch up the rising inflation. In these circumstances who is bothered on scams, corruption, corrupt ministers, gangsters, crime…. Which political leader attending the parties of smuggler, how many thousand crores of scam is un-grounded etc. Here daily life has become hell still we call it as Life….

We are dying by every second but living…..

Mind ... An Asset

In this fast world, everybody running behind the material things and how to make our life more happy and comfortable….. Isn't it? But how? … If you see our lives, its full of race, we are afraid – “Are not we behind?”, What are more means to make our life more comfortable and happy…. but are we really happy in this rat-race.

We get up early to ensure we should not miss our train or should not stuck in traffic. A slight delay may ruin our day, a late-mark or irate boss searching for you to enquire about assignment given to you late evening with expectation to finish it before the close of the day when sun already set and night begins….. that's the life we live everyday.

When we are running behind the physical happiness do we really thought about the mental happiness. Someone will say who has time to think about it?… Yeah….. we really don't have time for the mental happiness because we never learnt the power of our mind

Mind….. a place for thought and action thereto. We can not control our thoughts as they are infinite. Our mind demands everything exist in this world and thinks how to achieve it… its endless…. and our mind decides how to work it out and get this done from our human body. Mind is not satisfied at any instance, it always cherishes new things and once its achieved and enjoyed over time the likeliness diminishes with demand for the new thing…… this is vicious circle

So if we can control our mind then we can work only after giving proper thoughts to our action. Any instance will be reviewed post studying its pros-n-cons and same will actioned with accurate decision. For this we need to learn or observe the thoughts going through the mind at every moments…. looks difficult but not impossible…. we should imbibe habit of leaving the unwanted thoughts and pursuing the right thoughts. This require constant study of mind to reach godliness. Because the pure happiness, lies in the happiness of mind and soul…… the world wealth lies in the happiness of mind.

Basically human mind is very sacred, pure, healthy as well as delicate. However with life's ups-n-downs it is getting polluted to such and extent that we are not aware of its purity and sacredness. We already know the instability of mind and thoughts due to activities around the world, so in-order to control the mind, we need to make our mind happy by taking it to the holy path of ” Bhakti-Marg”. If your mind is happy then Mind will make possible, the impossible task which we thought of never come true….

Now how to make the holy path toward godliness, – like when we lay road, its need to be cleared off with holes and obstacles, then covered with cement/concrete layer, this will ensure the path will be good for our journey. So to get the mind pleasure its should get involved in the cooperation, support to the weak, thinking good about others, controlling our desires, working for the goodness of the society, respecting and following the great individuals, imbibing knowledge to the needy and be calm, patient & true follower of god. if we can do such things the mind will please and bestow you the worldly pleasure.

We learnt about the good ways of pleasing the mind but its equally important that we should avoid things which cultivate bad habits which can pollute the sacredness of the mind like thoughts which perishes the health of body, mind and soul, thoughts to deceive the others, having unclean body, smoking, drinking, drugs, cocaine, heroine which makes your mind more unstable. Fighting, threatening, using bad and foul language, thoughts to deceive should be controlled………… this will surely maintain the purity of mind

Vakratunda Mahakay........ Shree Siddhivinayakay Namah

A thousands of devotees had already sought blessings of Lord Siddhivinayaka on this auspicious day of 'Angaraka Chaturthi' and thousands are still waiting in que for the Shree Siddhivinayak Darshan. I am not talking about a que of 20-30 people standing to take railway ticket but its goes long as 2-3 kilometers...... no complaints, no cribbing... only a wish to have Lord's Blessing which will fulfill their dreams, wishes..... healthy life for self and family, free from tensions and worries, blessing for success and wealth... and obviously intellectual mind ultimately.... Lord Ganesha is lord of intelligence and wisdom.

'Angaraka Chaturthi' i.e. (अंगारिका चतुर्थी) is a Sankashti Chaturthi falling on Tuesday. It is considered highly auspicious among all Sankashti Chaturthis. Sankashti Chaturthi (संकष्टी चतुर्थी) also known as Sankata Hara Chaturthi is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This day is celebrated in every Lunar month or Hindu calendar month on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha (dark lunar phase or the waning phase).

The day for the devotees had not started with the dawn but from the last night. If you reach at 4.00 A.M in the morning when sun is yet to rise on horizon, you will be somewhere standing in que near Portuguese Church which is at approximate 2-3 KMs proximity and que goes on till the Main Doors of Temple opens for darshan. The devotees not only travel by bus, trains, taxis which are means of commuting but thousands of them come by walking from the home to seek blessing of the Lord. This is not one time phenomenon of the Mumbai life but its regular feature to seek blessings of the Lord. Every tuesday of week, Mumbai's streets see thousands of Lord's worshipers walking down to Prabhadevi.. Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, this includes celebrities like Amitabh Bacchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty and more. One thing is for sure, the Lord Grants every wish of his followers only thing you need is faith.

The Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shri Ganesh. It is located  in Prabhadevi (Dadar) Mumbai,is one of the richest temples in Mumbai. The temple has a small mandap (hall) with the shrine for Siddhi Vinayak ("Ganesh who grants your wish"). The wooden doors to the sanctum are carved with images of the Ashtavinayak (the eight manifestations of Ganesha in Maharashtra). The inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold, and the central statue is of Ganesha. The temple was built by the contractor Laxman Vithu Patil. from fundings by a rich Agri woman named Deubai Patil. Childless woman. The idea of the construction of the temple struck to Late Deubai during the prayer time, she humbly requested Lord Ganesh and said, “Although I cannot have a child, let other ladies who are childless get the pleasure of child on visiting the temple and praying you”. Looking at successful subsequent history of the temple, it appears like the Lord Ganesh nodded to this humble request and pious thoughts and deeds of Late Deubai Patil. It is, therefore, this Siddhivinayak is famous for it and known as “Navasacha Ganapati” or “Navasala Pavanara Ganapati” in Marathi (Ganapati bestows whenever humbly genuinely prayed a wish) among devotees.

The idol of Shree Siddhivinayak was carved out of a single black stone and is 2'6” (750mm) high and 2' (600mm) wide with the trunk on the right. This is rather unusual appearance of Lord Ganesh. The upper right and left hands hold a lotus and an axe respectively while the lower right and left hands hold a rosary (japmala) and bowl full of “Modak” respectively. As it resembles the sacred thread, a snake appears on the left shoulder to right side belly. On the forehead of deity is an eye, which almost looks like the third eye of Lord Shiva. On both sides of the Lord Ganesh idol, are placed one idol each of Riddhi and Siddhi goddesses who are appearing like peeping out of the Ganesh idol from behind. Because of these two deities along with Lord Ganesh, this temple is known as the Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple. These goddesses signify sanctity, success, wealth and prosperity.

Around 125 years ago, Shri Akkalkot Swami Samarth's great disciple, Late Ramakrishna Jambhekar Maharaj, who was also ardent devotee of Lord Ganesh and Gayatri Mantra was blessed with Assyssinian ( Siddhi ). One day Swami Samarth asked Shri Jambhekar to bring divine idols. Out of the idols, except two idols, Swami Samarth told to bury in the front courtyard of the house of Swami Samarth's another disciple Shri Cholappa, where Swami Samarth used to temporarily reside. Shri Jambhekar was also told to inhume remaining two idols in front of Lord Ganesh that he usually worshipped. During his attendance with Swami Samarth, Shri Jambhekar foretold that a Mandaar tree would grow on the place after 21 years, Swayambhu ( Swayambhu ) Ganesh would appear on the sacred place. From that onward people's devotion would grow in leaps and beyond. Siddhivinayak Temple History
